Is Scarface a good film?

Yes, it's a classic. Very 80s, but it manages to hold its own nonetheless. It is extraordinarily violent though, but that could be considered a necessity to portray the insanity of that world. I used to know an extremely narcissistic individual who worshipped that film, and it is very accurate. Whether someone who has not seen that world for themselves can really comprehend how filthy and unglamourous it is, is debatable.
